The end of September

Well folks, the month is comeing to a close and the next is about to begin.  It has been a busy month. A lot of work, injury, slow recovery,  joy and worry. My uncle survived his cancer treatment and is slowly recovering.  And one of his daughters got married a few days ago.
I completed some projects and started others. Including buying a new musical instrument.  It should arrive today or tomorrow most likely.  When I was a young child I was in a music class and we had to learn an instrument.  I chose the cello. It was only for a month but I practiced whenever I had the chance. I just love the soft deep tones that the cello produces.  At the end of the month i had to return the cello and go on to other things. But I had learned to love the sound and that stayed with me throughout my life. A few days ago I won an auction for an electric cello.
I have always dreamed of playing again but never had the time or money.  I still dont have a lot of time but I look forward to practicing with a bit of the time I have.
S seems to be a lot more stable mentally now that she is working and we are slowly getting her up on her feet. She is still not to the point of complete independence but at least she is putting in the work to move forward along that path.
And I? I have found someone I really like. We can’t be together yet due to circumstance. But I am patient and I can wait. Some things are just worth waiting for. And when you find something or someone you adore time means little. It will just make our eventual meeting all the sweeter. She understands me in ways I didnt think anyone ever could. And she inspires me to create which in itself is a feeling I charish.  As with all things, time will tell if this is the destiny the fates have woven. But I sincerely hope that it is. She is beautiful,  kind, and as kinky as I am. I know I am not worthy of her. But I will try to be.
And cookie? He is my constant happy little monster.  This morning he woke me up at 6am licking my face. A vary cute thing to wake up to. His winter coat has started to grow out so he is even more fluffy and soft than usual.
Well… my morning tea is done and it’s almost time to start getting ready for work. October is just around the corner and there is much to do.

The beat

Had an interesting conversation with a submissive about setting the mood.

Here is some food for thought.

When you walk into a room after a long day, your tired and want to rest… not in the best headspace.

The lights are low and candlelight fills the room. The room smells like dark amber. Music starts….the beat slowly rises drawing your heart rate with it. Then you feel the touch of leather against your neck.. words whispered against your ear…

It is mental manipulation, forcing memories of past encounters to the surface, drawing feelings of submission from the subconscious and reminding the concious of the good feelings that could be comeing.

Gently drawing the mind down into a submissive headspace and forcing you to let go of all the frustrations of the day. Controlling your emotions and evoking needs.

And all it takes is three well timed words. “Take it off.”

That..

Is dominance.

No fancy things needed.

The song

So far away…

Well beyond the range..

Of that which I hold secret..

I can feel a heart..

Beating next to mine..

Two hearts, beating in time..

There is fear and loneliness..

In them both..

Boundless potential for love..

That only they understand..

Minds folding inward..

Into and apon each other..

Infinitely,

Filling and replenishing,

Each what is needed most,

Becoming one steady song,

Of beauty.

An Apocalyptic night

So I will preface this by saying that I dont go out much, i work hard and am usually sore and tired by the end of the day. To get me to go out on a Friday night takes something of epic proportion. But this was just such an event. For those not fermiler with them apocalyptica is a band from Finland. They play metal on 4 cellos and it is phenomenal. So when I saw they would be playing in Austin I snapped up a ticket as soon as I could. If you haven’t heard them before, look them up. You are in for a treat.
The show was being held at the paramount theater. It is a wonderful small venue in the heart of downtown Austin.

The show starts calmly, people sitting and listening.. the acoustics of the paramount make the sound of the cellos swell and vibrate through you. They go through the set list playing one Metallica song after another. And I am just sitting in my seat letting it wash over me like a wave.

There is a brief intermission for people to go refill drinks, use the facilities and buy merchandise. One beer and a vary nice tshirt later I am back in my seat for the second half. The lights go down and the band comes out on stage. One of the band members steps up to the mic and addresses the crowd “Thank you for the warm welcome to austin… we all love playing concerts whenever possible… but this is a rock show! So get out of your seats and get up here by the stage! Fuck your seating! We want a sea of people!”

Dont have to tell me twice… up out of my seat and standing 6 feet from the stage right next to the speaker stack. Man am I glad I paid extra for floor seating.

By the time they had played the second encore I was was grinning like a madman and could barely speak from cheering and yelling.

What an amazing night!
