Finding a partner that matches what you are looking for can be difficult. More so with most dating sites geared for more vanilla relationships. The few bdsm dateing sites that are out there are ether antiquated or overrun with bots and pop culture doms and subs. Sorting through that mess can be vary discouraging. Especially for submissives. And that in turn makes it more difficult for decent doms. The get lost in the flood of mail featuring such hits as “submit to me now!” Or “want to be my fuckslut?” Or “send nudes”. Most submissives will just hit the delete all button. And the decent dom’s mail goes unread and they think the sub must not be interested.

I would love to say “but I have the thing that will fix all that!” But I dont. I have yet to find a single site that I would recommend. So what to do? Go to munches? That’s great if you have a good community, but what if there is not one in your area or the ones that are there are lame and full of drama? Doesn’t leave you with many options. So you end up online. It’s not like you can just post a flyer on a telephone pole. (Though that would be funny. “Experienced dom seeks sub. Take number if interested” and then there are all those paper tabs with phone numbers at the bottom) come to think of it… that would be a great prank to pull on my brother.

But I digress… back to the topic at hand.

I would love to know how others met their dom or sub, was it in real life or online? Did you appoch them? Or they you? What was it about them that made you think “yup, this is the one for me.”

(And just so you know why I haven’t mentioned it)

I have purposely avoided talking about fetlife in this jumble of thoughts because while it is not a bad social platform it isn’t that great for finding a potential partner.

  1. Ohhh boy. Yeah those sites drive me batty but what else are we supposed to do? I have a love hate relationship with Fetlife, there are good people though they extremely difficult to find

  2. I have found some good potential on Fet but super small compared to years I’ve been on there.
    I am going to keep the rest of my opinions to myself as they’re not nice at all… 😐

    Ok Cupid is a good mix up of vanilla and cinnamon… But whether you want to answer the questions publicly or anonymously would be another matter

  3. I’ve been on fet for a while and it’s very hit or miss. I have met a few very lovely people though but I live near a big city so there is more potential. Almost gave up though, before meeting my current partners.
    I’m enjoying your blog.

    1. Glad you are enjoying it. It’s fun to write and a good outlet for me. I live near a big city as well but apparently most of the kinky people in Austin are elitist or drama magnets. Both things I avoid. So… meh. Oh.. and do try to solve the riddle in the something for the ladies blog. No one is guessing! Lol

      1. Yuck, I definitely avoid drama too. I’d say for every ten people I start talking to, I find one I’d like to keep talking to. Mostly older people- they are much more polite and don’t just want a bunch of pics so they can get off. I go for over 40 but I’m not sure how old you are.
        I did read that post but I can’t figure it out 🤭

      5. Ha ha. Very true… I’m becoming more and more of an exhibitionist so being stared at is fun. But better when I’m half naked and being whipped at a club. Though kissing a man who looks like he could be my father in a vanilla setting is fun too. 😛
